A comedy/drama by Ivan Menchell

Friends Doris, Lucille and Ester are in their mid-fifties and have become widows within the past few years, and they all live in a Jewish community in Pittsburgh (USA). Once a week they gather to visit their husbands’ graves and then at a Deli to talk about their lives. Doris is still devoted to her late husband and takes her responsibilities as a widow seriously. Lucille is eager to get her feet back in the waters of dating, partly as revenge against her husband who cheated on her, and because she is very lonely. Ida is also not used to being alone after thirty nine years of marriage, but doesn’t feel ready to start dating again, at least not before she meets Sam who gradually but firmly eases his way into her life. The result is a conflict of wants, needs, respect and some jealousy before each of them come to terms with own situations in a very poignant conclusion.
